~ a transformative desert & sea retreat
March & November // El Gouna, Egypt
a small group. eight days.
no fixed time table.

we walk the desert and sit around the fire.

we snorkel turquoise waters.
we cook together.
we see with our hearts.
we share what moves us.
nature becomes our mirror.

How do I work?
Kailo stands for holistic transformation – body, mind, soul. Gentle, intuitive, nature-connected.
-
Sensing your being reveals what's stuck or calling
-
Group sharing makes the invisible naturally visible: dreams, patterns, movements
-
Nature rituals integrate: meeting the desert, fire circles, canyon walks, diving into the sea
I'm meeting you where you are.
Your whole being leads. I guide. The group witnesses. Nature holds.
Tell me more about the places we'll be at...
El Gouna is a planned resort town on Egypt's Red Sea coast, founded in the 1990s. You'll find calm lagoons, beautiful architecture, turquoise waters, local shops and an international, relaxed vibe. This is our comfortable villa base – soft landing after desert days.
The desert is a rocky wadi landscape. No endless sand dunes like postcards – instead, rugged stone formations, wide horizons, and ancient silence create the space for our deep grounding. Nature meets you essential and real here.

What's the rough map of the journey?
-
Day 1 - [hotel] arriving & meeting the group
-
Day 2 - [desert] transitioning
-
Day 3 - [desert] moving toward the essential
-
Day 4 - [desert > villa] letting go
-

-
Day 7 - [villa] reintegration/ free day
-
Day 8 - [villa] departure
My retreats don't have a timetable on purpose. It's a journey through which we go together as a group in the pace and the direction that fits for us.
What are the pillars of this retreat?
-
connecting with your outer & inner nature
going on a journey to ourselves.
tapping into this deeper knowing & wisdom within.
acknowledging what’s there.
-
being in community
being integrated into the whole.
being challenged.
being held.
-
process-orientation
everything takes as much time as it needs.
letting ourselves be guided by the natural flow.
being open to what is crossing our path.
enough time for yourself.
-
dream work
listening to the language of our dreams.
receiving messages from the unconscious.
bridging the seen and unseen.
honoring the wisdom that emerges in the liminal space between waking and sleeping.
-
music & movement
touching & being touched by music.
moving through the rhythms.
freeing our body. freeing our heart.
-
cooking together as an essential part
as a deeply rooted practice of togetherness.
cooking and eating together as the most elementary form of sharing.

Is there Q&A about Kailo retreats?
Yes. We have collected the most asked questions about my retreats and my work. Have a look here.

How do I get there?
The airport of Hurghada can be easily reached from all major airports with a nonstop flight.
The airport is just 40 minutes from El Gouna, where we will meet. I'll organize the airport pick up for you so you'll reach us in the smoothest way possible.
The first day of the retreat is the arrival day and the last day the departure day.
Is it safe to travel to Egypt?
I'm regularly consulting with my Egyptian partner, local contacts, and official travel advisories.
The region remains safe. I've led this retreat continuously twice a year since 2021 without any issues – even through challenging world events. El Gouna is even considered the safest place of the country.
A partial travel warning has been in place since 2023 and applies only to the northern Sinai Peninsula, not for the rest of Egypt.
